A Troubled Artie Lange

Despite his alleged sobriety and encouraging weight loss, notoriously troubled comedian and occasional best-selling author Artie Lange appears to remain troubled. TMZ reported that Lange, best known as Howard Stern’s longtime co-host, was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons less than a month before his first Comedy Central special, “Jack and Coke”, is scheduled to premiere.
Lange has been absent from Stern’s show without explanation for the last couple of weeks and there are rumors that the hiatus will be permanent. Here’s hoping that Lange is okay and that all of his recent press will serve as publicity for his upcoming special.
(Fun side-note: Lange’s wikipedia entry claims that he was once arrested for attempted bank robbery when he passed a note demanding 50,000 dollars to an attractive bank teller in a misguided attempt at flirting.)
