Andy Dick Back in Rehab

Comedian Andy Dick returned to rehab on Tuesday.  After an intervention during his internet series Andy Dick Live, friends and coworkers convinced Dick that it was time to shape up and get his act together. He checked into the Oasis Treatment Center in Anaheim, California.

Dick’s boss, internet entrepreneur Alki David, told him that enough was enough during the show. “Everybody knows you have been going through your trials and tribulations,” David said.  “I told you the other day that if this continues we can’t carry on.”

This is not Andy’s first time in rehab; by his count he has checked in over 10 times and has made headlines over his unruly behavior more than his comedy. The 46 year-old comic admits that he has had his share of troubles and that he is not on his best behavior when he drinks.  He was moved to tears by how concerned his friends and coworkers were. He knew he had to go back to rehab.

“When I drink I turn into a moron,” Dick said during a 2009 appearance on Entertainment Tonight. “I think I’m being funny and clever, but I look back on the videotape and I border on retardation.”

LaughSpin reported that during an interview last October, Dick said he was sober and in a good place.

What happened between then and now that made Andy Dick turn for the worse? And now, after once again entering rehab, will he finally turn his life around?
