Awesome: Russell Brand Documentary ‘From Addiction to Recovery’

Russell Brand has it all. Well, compared to most people he does. Money, fame, beautiful women, and an awesome day job consisting solely of making people laugh.
But Russell also has a demon that can make all of his life’s luxuries seem completely meaningless. And that demon is addiction. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction you can learn more about long term recovery programs here.
“It don’t mean no difference to me,” Brand once said to a doctor. “The money, the fame, the power, the sex, the women — none of it – I’d rather be a drug addict. If I didn’t have my program, I’d be a drug addict today. Like that, in a second.”
In a new documentary titled ‘Russell Brand: From Addiction to Recovery’ Brand opens up about his struggle with everything from weed to heroine. LaughSpin.Com reports that this documentary won’t be shown in America, which is unfortunate, because in America, drugs are viewed as a criminal problem and not a health problem.
“Ten years ago, though, I couldn’t get enough of them,” said Brand. “Cannabis, booze, acid, speed, coke, crack, smack – that’s heroin. I took drugs every single day.”
