If you haven’t seen him in action aside from his role of Robert Barone in a popular sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” then you are up for a big surprise. Don’t expect to see his soft and submissive character onstage, because this is quite the opposite. Garrett makes no apologies for his upfront in-your-face humor.
Garrett began stand-up in Vegas in 1985, and has opened for several big name performers. In 1984 he appeared for the first time on the “Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson,” making him one of the youngest comedians to be on the program. He was only 23. Garrett always wanted to have his own club in the city that launched his career. His long time dream became a reality, and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club opened its doors at the Tropicana in June 2010.
If you are looking for a clean version of Garrett’s comedy, then you might want to check his special appearance at the Keep Memory Alive Gala on February 26, as he teams up with his pal Ray Romano as guests for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health fundraiser.
