Andy Samberg Will Officially Leave SNL

Saturday Night Live will be without another one of its incredibly talented cast members. Shortly after Kristen Wiig’s final episode with the storied sketch comedy show, Andy Samberg has now announced he will also not return.
“It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life,” Samberg was quoted as saying to The New York Times. “Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back.”
As with many of SNL’s amazing cast, Samberg has been lured to Hollywood. On June 15, his newest movie That’s My Boy, co-starring Adam Sandler, will hit theaters.
It may be fitting that Samberg leaves this year. He and Chris Parnell released their long anticipated sequel to Lazy Sunday a couple of weeks ago, and, of course, it was an enormous hit.
During his talk with the New York Times, Samberg mentioned that Wiig helped him with this huge career choice.
“She kept saying it just feels like it’s her time,” Samberg said. “I connect with that. Something about it just feels like it’s the moment. My contract’s up and I did so much more than I ever thought I would ever even do.”
Personally I’m very sad to see Andy go. What was your favorite Samberg digital short or moment during his time on SNL?
