Brian Baumgartner, A.K.A. The Office’s Kevin Malone, Lands New Show

With the last season of The Office in full gear, long time cast members are starting to think about life post-show.
Already, Rainn Wilson, the ever paranoid Dwight Schrute, has developed a spin-off for his character, and fellow actors Craig Robinson, Angela Kinsey and Mindy Kaling all have new shows to work on.
Now it turns out that the lovable, borderline special education accountant at the Scranton branch, Kevin Malone, is also getting a new show. Well not the accountant, but the man who plays him, actor Brian Baumgartner.
Baumgartner will play the lead of a new ABC sitcom, as a “mid-level airline executive trying to experience winning again.”
Deadline reported yesterday that The Office series boss, “Greg Daniels is executive producing a new new single-camera comedy to star the original Office cast member. It will be written by Harris Wittels, supervising producer on Daniels’ other NBC series, Parks And Recreation.”
The show is currently untitled, but for all our diehard Office fans, we’ll keep you posted.
