Fans better curb their enthusiasm as Seinfeld creator Larry David has announced plans to return to his roots as a stand-up comedian.
A pivotal figure in the ever-developing face of comedy, the Whatever Works star clearly knows how to be funny. After all, he created a show about “nothing” that has reached almost cult status, while his current show is entering it’s eighth season.
During a July 11th appearance on the Joy Behar Show, the Curb Your Enthusiasm star hinted strongly he’d return to stand-up. Now he has clearly announced his decision in a recent in-depth interview with senior Rolling Stone writer Brian Hiatt.
“I think it would be a great experience to be able to go up and have an audience of fans,” said David. “It would be very different for me, and it’s something that I’ve never experienced.”
The cover story on the the July 22nd Rolling Stone issue features David’s’ interview, where he discusses his life post-Seinfeld and post-divorce – not to mention his forays back into the world of dating.
