Comedian Lisa Lampanelli in Manhattan

For the past three decades, comedienne Lisa Lampanelli has literally lived all over the Manhattan area! A local to Christopher Street in the West Village, the amusing Lampanelli was kind enough to speak to the New York Post on her 50th birthday,
Because of her lifestyle in Manhattan she expressed the reason behind her sometimes racy and homosexual comments. “I didn’t know it at the time, but I guess I was a big fan of gay men.”
On getting away with controversial statements she explained, “I can get away with it because I’m a nice person, I have a warm personality, my intention is good behind it. The thing is, people sense when you have the least bit of anger or hate towards a group –– that’s why you never make fun of people you don’t like.”
The comic has spent a lot of time in different areas of the city and at some point lived in Alphabet City, the Lower East Side, and Tudor City. Lampanelli now resides on the Upper West side with her husband Jimmy Cannizzaro.
This Thursday her plans are to be a part of the podcast “Risk” which will record at the Improve Theater.
