Comedian “Weird Al” to Bring Forth Epicness to Comedy Central

Ever since he premiered on Dr. Demento’s radio show in 1978 with “My Bologna,” “Weird Al” Yankovic has been a cult-classic God for the nerds and loners out there in the world. Lately he has reached a newfound fame and widespread audience, especially after his 2006 album Straight Outta Lynwood with the hit single “White and Nerdy” which hit the top ten Billboard chart.
Now he’s back and Comedy Central is celebrating his newest album Alpocalypse by airing the special “’Weird Al’ Yankovic Live! The Alpocalypse Tour” this Saturday. As a special treat they also posted three videos – two clips from the special and one music video – on ComedyCentral.com and nearly crashed the video site. “Polka Face” became one of the most viewed videos on the site and, right now, can’t even be viewed.
You can watch the two other video clips, “Party in the CIA” and “Canadian Idiot,” which are both from his special and bask in the awesomeness that is Weird Al. Along with singing his new songs, Yankovic brings back his classics, including “Fat” and “Amish Paradise.” While you wait for the special to air, I suggest going to YouTube and watch every single music video he has ever produced for his songs. It will make the work week go by so much faster.
“’Weird Al’ Yankovic Live! The Alpocalypse Tour” airs on Comedy Central Saturday, October 1 at 9pm PST.
