Eddie Izzard is Busy Busy

British stand-up comedian, actor, political activist, marathon runner, and social bird on Twitter, Eddie Izzard seems to have a lot on his plate as of recent.
Joining the cast of Pixars Cars 2, his voice takes on the role of Miles Axelrod, a range rover hybrid that changes his ways and becomes electrical powered, thus devoting his life to finding a renewable energy source for the future. Axelrod believes that his gas, Allinol is the answer to environmentally friendly gas.
Izzard not only is doing what seems like a bajillion things, but to top it off he flew into L.A. from Paris and sat down with The Metro to be interviewed.
Although, Izzard portrays an automobile in Cars 2, he doesn’t call himself a “car nut”. When the Metro asked if he was a car person, Izzard responded, “I kept coming back to the Beetle or a Mini because they’re kind of cool, and they didn’t separate me. I wasn’t saying, ‘Hey, look how good I’m doing.’ But having said that, I’d go for any type Jag, or an Aston Martin DB5 or 6 — there’s a five and a six, and I keep looking at them going, ‘What’s the difference?’”
When commenting on his own character, Miles Axelrod, he said, “All the positive side of Miles Axelrod has something Richard Branson-esque — or me-esque, because I was at some point studying accounting and financial management. And I am someone that, I suppose I have been taking my comedy around the world, and I’ve tried to do that in a very positive way.”
Izzard has done a lot of positive work such as running marathons and being politcally active in campaigning. He has to juggle a lot of activities together as he goes from film to film, but it is of no concern for Izzard because it is, “mixing things together,” that he likes to do.
currently Eddie Izzard is doing a series of comedy stand-ups in Paris where he not only entertains, but also speaks in French.
