Gangnam Style Dancing Grows in Popularity; Watch Video

I’m sure that by now most people know what Gangnam Style is all about. The Korean pop song “Gangnam Style” by Park Jae-Sang, known to the public as Psy, is steadily climbing in popularity. This past weekend’s premiere of Saturday Night Live featured a tribute of the U.S. Naval Academy in their remake of the popular video.
The Huffington Post reported that the song refers to the upscale Gangnam District in Seoul, Korea, and the dance move imitates a galloping horse.
“[The] mindset of this dance is, dress classy and dance cheesy,” Psy told Ellen DeGeneres.
CBS News reported that this is not the first remake of the Korean pop song. Last week, “Gangnam Style” was the inspiration for a wedding video.
The Naval Academy’s two-minute long video shows the students uniformed and participating in the dance craze (and quite well I might add). Psy even admitted to DeGeneres that the students at the academy did the dance right.
As of Monday, “Gangnam Style” had 194 million views and is also No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes chart, The Huffington Post reported.
If you have not seen “Gangnam Style” yet, you can redeem yourself and watch it here.
