Gillian Jacobs Gives Advice to Teenage Girls Via RookieMag

Comedians not only make the community laugh, they provide help in various ways. Community star Gillian Jacobs shows the real side of herself as she addresses the normal concerns of teenage girls in a video she made for Rookie, an online magazine for girls.
Rookie inspires teenage girls through videos, illustrations, photography, and writing (of course). On the website it says that the Rookie staff likes to focus on monthly issues that tie into a theme for its teenage audience.
In plain clothes and no make-up, Jacobs answers the questions of teenage girls on various topics from boyfriends to being a nerd. She even goes as far as sharing her own high school experiences to show the girls that she’s not so different from them.
Jacobs makes herself relatable to the girls by telling them that in high school she was also a nerd and did not have a boyfriend. Finally, a celebrity who had the same high school experience as most people!
“Don’t stop being the smart girl for anybody……….ever,” Jacobs advised when answering a question regarding “how to stop being a nerd”.
I applaud Jacobs for reaching out to the teenage girls of the world with helpful advice to get them through their everyday issues.
