The experimental producer and “former heavyweight champion of the world” GoJudo released a hip hop comedy album last year that has just been made available to fans through both YouTube and streaming.
Unlike anything in the musical comedy genre, the album Aura, incorporates hip hop and electronica with audio clips from famous stand-up comedians. The EP uses various artists such as Sarah Silverman, George Carlin, Louis C.K., Demetri Martin, and Bill Burr. GoJudo, a fan of comedy, told Laughspin.Com, “I really, really appreciate what the comedians featured on Aura do. The EP is a tribute and thank you to them and their brilliance.”
After listening to a few tracks, the album creates its own form of comedy, that gives some fresh humor to routines we have been listening to for years. One particularly funny track features C.K’s sexual woes with a “smooth, jazzy hip-hop beat” (Laughspin.com). Download the entire EP and check out more of GoJudo’s work at http://gojudo.tumblr.com/
