Harry Potter Star Daniel Radcliffe to Host SNL

Sometimes Daniel Radcliffe feels like a fraud. In his recent interview he admitted that from time to time he had doubts about his abilities as an actor. And there’s no better way to prove yourself wrong than to step outside your comfort zone.

He is doing just that. The boy wizard is going to pull out his comedic chops from his sleeve to do some serious improv. Radcliffe has been booked to host Saturday Night Live.

“I’ve always admired and loved stand-ups,” Radcliffe admitted on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.  He delivered a one-joke comedy routine, warning the audience: “This is going to be terrible. How do you kill a circus? Go for the juggler.”

His fellow Harry Potter costar  Robbie Coltrane revealed recently that Radcliffe used to bore him with an endless stream of jokes, but “they were terribly funny because he was so earnest.”

The 22-year old actor might surprise us by being funny in front of the live audience. After all, he has a way with magic and had a practice round making a guest appearance as himself in Ricky Gervais’ show Extras, discussing sex with dame Diana Rigg.
