Howie Mandel, You Be the Judge

Comedian Howie Mandel is no stranger to random acts of weirdness.  He was kicked out of highs school for impersonating a school board member and hiring a construction company to build an addition to the campus.  He became famous by putting a rubber glove over his head and inflating it with his nose.  And now he has dropped the handshake completely in exchange for the fist bump.

So it makes perfect sense that Mandel would be well suited to replace David Hasselhoff as a judge on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”  As he tells Lynn Elber of the Associated Press, “As much as I love seeing somebody undiscovered and unique, there’s something to be said for the insanity and the train wreck.
