January Is Stand-Up Month on Comedy Central

January marks the beginning of a new year, when all the unaccomplished goals get recycled into new resolutions. It is also a Stand-up Month on Comedy Central.
Starting January 9, every weekend the all-comedy channel is giving stand-up specials from such superstars as Denis Leary, Louis C.K, George Lopez, Nick Kroll.
Starting Friday, January 21, “Comedy Central Presents” returns for its 15th season. It’s funny, it’s sharp, it’s witty, and it’s all new with today’s hottest comedians. Catch great entertainment from Tom Segura, Michael Kosta, Natasha Leggero, Kyle Kinane and Jessi Klein. For the impatient ones Comedy Central is giving a half-hour sneak peak from the upcoming season on Friday, January 14.
All month long viewers could go online at www.jokes.com to vote for their favorite stand-up comedians. The winner will be announced on January 29 during “Stand-Up Showdown.”
Get ready to start your year with some serious laughing. Since laughing burns unwanted calories, those with weight-loss resolutions could put a check mark for “mission accomplished.” Well, at least for the month of January.
