Jimmy Pardo Sings a Duet with Daryl Hall

jimmy pardo, daryl hallStand-up comedian and host of the popular comedy podcast Never Not Funny, Jimmy Pardo, took the time to interview Daryl Hall, asking him some really tough questions. So tough, not even Hall could answer them.

Originally, Pardo had been a warm-up comedian for The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brian. Recently he has been attack – er – interviewing celebrities backstage of Conan in a segment called “The Pardo Patrol.” In this specific segment his victim is Hall who just performed a song from his new album “Laughing Down Crying.”

Before entering the room with the words “Daryl Hall” pinned up next to a red haired image that we all know as Coco, Pardo said,  ”He is one of the greatest vocalist in pop music history. I’m thrilled to barge in on him.” Pardo is a man of his word, and an aggressive one, as he kicked the two men chilling with Hall out of the room. Once Pardo had some alone time he created a short Pardo/Hall duet of  ”Sara’s Smile.”

Hall originally began his career with John Oates where they created the band name Hall & Oates. Together they conquered the Billboards of the  1970′s and 80′s. Hall was considered one of the best blue-eyed singers of his generation, which Pardo unlocked in his interview as something Hall disliked. Hall passionately pointed out, “Do we call a black opera singer a brown eyed opera singer? I’m just a soul singer.”

Since 2007, the 2004 Hall of Fame Songwriter has hosted his website television series Live from Daryl’s House where he gets other singers and songwriters to come jam with him for awhile. Check it out, there are monthly sessions at http://www.livefromdarylshouse.com !
