Joan Rivers Calls Costco ‘Nazi Germany’

Costco gained itself a new enemy on Tuesday. E! Fashion Police host Joan Rivers protested against the store after the franchise refused to carry her new book.
Rivers claimed that the chain refused to carry her new book because of its racy content. Since the franchise turned away from the book, I Hate Everyone…Starting With Me, she decided to fight back on her own terms.
Rivers walked into the store with copies of the book and solicited autographed copies to customers. The comedian also handcuffed herself to a shopping cart and was filmed by a camera crew while she complained that the Burbank, California Costco would not carry her book.
“Costco should not be like Nazi Germany! Next thing they’ll be burning the bible,” Rivers shouted through a megaphone.
Burbank city spokesman Drew Sugars says the Costco store manager called police to the store because they were uncertain of the scale of the situation. It was reported that no citations or arrests were made.
Rivers is known for her flamboyant personality, and she displayed that with her Costco protest. Is Costco crushing First Ammendmant Rights or are they in the right by refusing to sell Joan’s book?
