Joe Klocek is probably the funniest comic you’ve never heard of. Hard to put a label on but always the comic you remember, Joe is known for his ability to riff with a crowd as well as his sharp jokes about modern life.
“I started in stand-up comedy because my girlfriend broke up with me. At the time, I was crushed. Every time I talked to anyone about it, they would laugh.” “My pain came out as funny to everyone else. Before long I tried an open Mic and was hooked.”
“I was raised very religious and my Mother expected me to become a priest. And, I probably would have if I hadn’t discovered girls at age 13.
“I think I was a pretty regular comic for years talking about the same stuff everyone did. But, I grew up and started caring about stuff, so I think my comedy became more socially aware.”
“I have been a former runner up in both the San Francisco comedy competition and the Seattle competition. San Francisco is my home. I love the city and the local clubs that support my stand-up style.”
Joe has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham.” You might also recognize him as a humors commentator in a San Francisco Documentary about the Bay Bridge, A Bridge So Far.
