If you’re anything like me and borderline obsessed with Mad Men, it’s hard to imagine Jon Hamm as anything other than Don Draper. Fortunately for Hamm and his fans, the new IFC show Comedy Bang! Bang! has allowed him to showcase some of his many talents outside of the world of Madison Avenue.
The first episode had Hamm and comedian/songwriter Reggie Watts free styling an ode to the 70′s sitcom Taxi. Hamm not only proved his Wikipedia knowledge of the show but also featured a spot on impersonation of Christopher Lloyd.
‘Comedy Bang! Bang!’ began as a podcast and was later adapted into a TV show on IFC. The episodes will feature weekly renditions of “Reggie Makes Music,” similar to what he did with Hamm where Watt’s free styles songs with guest celebrities. The show is due to premiere June 8 and just as the song says, is sure to be “touching, emotional, and real.”
And of course hilarious. Watch the video below and let us know what you think of Hamm’s singing skills.
