Ken Jeong Performs CPR to “Stayin’ Alive”

Who else could teach us “Hands only” CPR for the American Heart Association while dressed in a 70′s leisure suit than the hilarious Ken Jeong? Not only is he an actor and comedian, but a full- fledged real life doctor! Before playing Mr. Chow in The Hangover, appearing in Role Models, or being a stand-up comedian, Jeong practiced medicine in California for many years.
Prior to his comedy days, Jeong was more like a prodigy than anything else. In high school he was a smarty pants, participating in the High IQ Team as well as playing the violin in the school’s orchestra. At the age of 16 he graduated and worked toward attaining his medical degree.
After being asked about his first experience being exposed to comedy he said, “My first memory is watching SNL in the late 70′s and 80′s. I remember a VD sketch with Bill Murray and giggling very hard when he said, ‘If I’ve been treated for VD, why is my penis still burning?’ (laughs) I didn’t feel at that moment that I wanted a career in comedy, but I was always one of those guys who just loved quoting funny stuff to friends.”
It was perfect for the American Heart Association to call up an actual Doctor/Comedian to grab the audiences attention for their campaign.
Thanks to Dr. Ken Jeong, “Stayin’ Alive” has a new purpose. Check out the video here:
