Margaret Cho, the very outspoken and hilarious comedian, went to her blog today to announce her new stand-up tour, to be called MOTHER. (Check out the AmericasComedy.Com interview with Cho here!)
According to her blog, the show “offers up an untraditional look at motherhood and how we look at maternal figures and strong women in queer culture. It’s probably my edgiest show to date, filled with riotous observations on race, drugs, sexuality – gay-straight-everything in between, celebrity, culture, politics – nothing is sacred – least of all this MOTHER.”
I think Cho is hilarious and her impression of her own mother is dead-on and brings lots of laughs, so I am assuming she will be included in this tour. It kicks off on August 11 in Provincetown, MA, and includes many stops along the way (unfortunately, no stops near me….not happy).
Cho is adding a special bonus for early ticket-buyers…she will be signing some special limited run posters for anyone who buys tickets before July 1. To get in on this special bonus, just bring your email confirmation with the date of your ticket purchase to the merchandise table at the show and you’ll get a signed poster! That’s pretty awesome, so buy early folks!
So, will you be buying tickets to see Margaret Cho’s MOTHER tour? Tell us in the comments!
Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 1. For ticket information and tour dates, check out her blog post right here.
