Maya Rudolph Returns to SNL, Performs ‘Bronx Beat’

maya rudolphSaturday Night Live welcomes back Maya Rudolph!  She is returning to the late night show after a fourteen-month hiatus.  Amy Poehler joins forces with the veteran Rudolph to once again pair up for their hilarious and memorable segment, “Bronx Beat.” I’m sure everyone (and by everyone I’m including myself) is excited to see Betty and Jody trash talk about everything under the sun.

On this segment of “Bronx Beat,” Jodi and Betty talk about J-Lo, her new love interest, the show Hoarders, and also how their Valentine’s Day went.  Betty starts off the jokes by ridiculing the people from Hoarders and making a suggestion that the show be called, Oops We Found A Cat Skeleton.  Then she goes on to talk about J-Lo’s and Marc Anthony’s split.

“She and Marc Anthony are done.  She’s with that fourteen-year old dancer now,” says Betty.  Throughout the entire segment they carry out the motto of “Live your life! Do what you want! It’s 2012, we’re gonna die anyway.”  The laughs did not stop there as Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg stole the show when they posed as the camera and boom mic operator during an interview.  Don’t believe me? See the clip for yourself.

I couldn’t stop laughing during Bronx Beat. Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler were hilarious in this skit. I was laughing so hard that I probably sounded like an idiot to my neighbors when I streamed it in my hotel room. I wasn’t able to watch the latest SNL since I was on a trip to California when it aired on the 18th. This was definitely one of the best shows to date. I like that there are many free It is convenient being able to watch many shows, whether it’s on lunch at where I work, or in a hotel room across the country. I loved this episode, and I’m looking forward to seeing who hosts next!
