Melissa McCarthy Kicks the Living Hell out of Jason Bateman

Maybe identity theft isn’t too funny. Many shutter at the pure thought of some maniacal stranger posing as them and stealing all their money, while others may ask “what money?” and laugh. (Identity theft is no joke Jim!)

Nonetheless, everyone’s most titillating nightmare (next to leaving the coffee pot on) has been made into a colorful and fast paced comedy starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.

Identity Thief is directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) and is from the same producers of Ted. Which is not a completely horrible line up even considering that rapper T.I. is going to be in.

The plot is moved when Sandy Bigelow Patterson (Bateman) is stuck in a rut of cancelled credit cards. Sandy finally puts two and two together and realizes that some one is treating themself to an all expense paid life of lavish and luxury through his name.

Sandy is no sucker of course, he tracks down the perpetrator (McCarthy) and apparently spends the rest of the movie hunting her down and getting his ass kicked.

The movie premiers February 8, 2013.
