Sitcom darling Michael J. Fox is rumored to return to television in 2013 full time with his own show.
The actor best known for film franchise Back to the Future and TV shows Family Ties and Spin City, is working with Will Gluck (director of Easy A) and Sam Laybourne (writer of Cougar Town and Arrested Development) on a script based off of his life for Sony Pictures Television.
There hasn’t been much released about plot or airing for the show besides speculation. The buzz is there’s already a bidding war for the show and if picked up the show will most likely get a straight to series order (according to Screenrant.com).
Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease which caused a premature end to his television career. But Fox has still managed to continue work with guest spots on The Good Wife, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Scrubs, Boston Legal and Rescue Me; even earning an Emmy.
Early this year, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, announced they were going to partner with Sanofi to trial some experimental new treatment for Parkinson’s which according to Fox has helped him be able to curb his symptoms in order to start working again.
