More Harry and Lloyd for Jim Carrey and Jeff Bridges?

jim careyPeter and Bobby Farrelly have long since dreamed of two things: reprising The Three Stooges and adding another installment of Dumb and Dumber. Since the brothers already accomplished the first, they have set their sights on bringing Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas back for a second round.

Although Jim Carrey dropped hints about participating in the follow-up during promotions of Mr. Popper’s Penguins, he is known for not being a fan of doing sequels. In 1994, the movie grossed $250 million worldwide after only spending $16 million to create.

You’re probably wondering about the horrible semi-sequel entitled Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, which used lookalike actors and was made on a cheap budget. This poor decision on the part of New Line Cinema, however, hasn’t killed the desire to add to the franchise. Original producers Charles B. Wessler, Brad Krevoy and Steve Stabler return as producers, as well as the Farrelly brothers’ longtime Conundrum Entertainment partner, Bradley Thomas.

Fans of the movie can only wait and see what will happen next. Anything is possible in Hollywood.
