Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi and Jim Carrey Star in “Burt Wonderstone”

There’s a casting director in Hollywood that really knows what the hell they are doing.
In one of the most unique ensembles I’ve heard of, comedians Steve Carell and Jim Carrey will join forces with Steve Buscemi (Reservoir Dogs, Fargo and every other good movie ever made) to portray a new comedy called Burt Wonderstone. The movie is set to release in 2013 and is currently being filmed in Las Vegas.
According to IMBD the plot goes something like this: “After breaking up with his longtime stage partner, a famous but jaded Vegas magician fights for relevance when a new, ‘hip’ street magician appears on the scene.” That hip street magician is played by the eccentric Carrey.
Not only will these three great actors be in the film, but James Gandolfini (a.k.a Tony Soprano) also has a big role. Comedian Jay Mohr is featured as well.
The movie is directed by Don Scardino and co-written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. It is based off a book by author Chad Kultgen. You can see photos from the set here at collider.com.
