Steve Harvey’s Ex-Wife Tells It All

Divorce is the kind of issue we like to keep private and be done with it as soon as possible. It’s much harder for celebrities to keep bitter details away from public eye, especially if one of them decides to publish the facts online.

Comedian Steve Harvey’s ex-wife Mary Harvey posted a series of videos on YouTube disclosing the information about their break-up. The three videos, which are about 7 to 9 minutes long, include excerpts of letters and e-mails between Harvey and his current wife Marjorie.

“As I sit and talk and speak right now, there’s a lawsuit that’s been filed against me in Texas, because in Steve’s opinion, I was responsible when Oprah didn’t give him a TV show,” she said. “I’m being sued for that as I sit here on this sofa today.”

She also reminisces about the early marriage days, financial struggle and her support at the beginning of Harvey’s climb to stardom, and realization that there’s someone else once the career began to flourish.

Harvey would not personally comment on the issue because of “existing court gag orders,” but he is taking necessary legal steps since the videos violate court orders.

The ex-Harveys have a son Wynton together, born a year after they got married in 1996.
