Are you a fan of Steve Martin? If so then get excited! Home Media Magazine reports that Martin’s television specials and stand-up comedy performances from the late 70’s and early 80’s will soon be released on DVD for the first time.
The box set titled Steve Martin: The Television Stuff will be released by Shout! Factory and SOFA Entertainment and is scheduled to come out on September 18. The set will include such material as: On Location: Steve Martin, Steve Martin: A Wild and Crazy Guy, Steve Martin: Comedy is not Pretty, All Commercials…A Steve Martin Special, and Steve Martin’s Best Show Ever. The set will also include Martin’s Oscar-nominated short film The Absent-Minded Waiter and a complete performance at the Universal Amphitheater from 1979.
Martin will be helping Shout! and SOFA with developing bonus content, including never-before-seen video.
“I am thrilled that so much of my rarely seen shows will be offered to the public,” Martin said. “I am told that these television appearances, concerts and bonus material are among the best work of my career. I am told this by people I pay.”
