If you are anything like me, your favorite part of the Superbowl isn’t the football game, it isn’t the half-time show or even the cool parties in literally every house. No – if you are anything like me, you take breaks from the game and take a seat during the commercials. We are talking over extravagant commercials that companies such as Bud Light like to spend millions of dollars on.
There were many commercials sticking to the “over the top” theme Sunday night during the Superbowl. Some of my favorite’s included “Matthew’s Day Off” in which Matthew Broderick mimicked his role as Ferris in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Even Comedian Jerry Seinfeld had a slot where he tried bribing a man for a new Acura with Seinfeld-ish things like the Soup Nazi.
Some were more successful while others were so bad that they only appeared in certain parts of the United States. Funny man Will Ferrell happened to be a part of that select group of terrible commercials due to his loyalty to Old Milwaukee. The beer company used Ferrell to promote their Milwaukee beer, but unfortunately their commercial only made it to North Platte, Nebraska. The quality of the video is awful, but Ferrell is in it, so that makes up for something. It’s a lot of build up for nothing but since Ferrell was a part of it there was probably a lot more good than harm done. I’ll let you be the judge of that.
