TBS Adds New Comedy ‘Sullivan and Son’

Watch out Conan cause there’s a new sheriff in town! TBS has welcomed a new comedy to the family. Fellow comedian and actor Steve Byrne will team up with actor and executive producer Vince Vaughn along with Peter Billingsley to star in a new comedy series titled, Sullivan and Son.

Written by Byrnes and the infamous Cheers veteran Robert Long, Byrne plays the role of a successful corporate attorney who decides to leave his New York City life only to return to the neighborhoods of working-class Pittsburgh, where he takes over his family’s bar. Another fine addition to the cast is Dan Lauria who plays the father of Steve Sullivan, (Byrne) and is the current owner of the bar. According to TNT and TBS, ”’Sullivan And Son’ is a smart, funny workplace comedy from the distinct comedy voices of Steve Byrne and Rob Long.”

The show has already received a ten-episode debut on TBS and is expected to premiere this summer. Other formidable shows that are scheduled to premiere this summer are Men At Work and the Conan O’Brien-produced, BFF. Looks like my summer will include laugh-provoking episodes of Sullivan and Son and a cold one by my side.
