‘The Simpsons’ Return for Season 24

the simpsons, season, 24, steve carellForget what you’ve heard about Family Guy, The Simpsons is returning to television later this month with season 24 and will continue to be as funny as ever. Fox’s hit show has been the cutting edge of animated prime time television for years. Executive producer Al Jean recently did an interview with Tvline.com to discuss plans for the upcoming season.

Though he didn’t reveal the opening credit couch gags, which are creator favorites, wanting to keep the audience surprised. He did reveal upcoming celebrity cameos including: Justin Beiber as himself, Zooey Deschanel back as Mary Spuckler, Steve Carrell (who wrote the part for himself), and the Portlandia crew Fred Armisen and Carie Brownstein with Patton Oswalt as their son.

The guest stars aren’t the only thing to get excited about. The episode descriptions Jean gave sound like classic Simpsons including a the first trip to NYC in 15 years, Bart’s Annie Hall, a Grandpa-centric episode, and Rev Lovejoy being upstaged by Edward Norton’s lovable minister.
