Videos and Jokes from the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne

Last night Comedy Central aired its roast of actress and third party presidential candidate Roseanne Barr. Performing were comedians  Amy Schumer, Roastmaster Jeff Ross, Wayne Brady (fresh of his controversial Bill Maher comments) and more. Barr’s ex-husband Tom Arnold also made a special appearance.

For comedy fans in mourning from missing the show, fear not; there are some great links to various websites that have cataloged the night’s best jokes.

Here’s a taste of one such quip: “In 1990, of course, you converted to white trash, when you married Tom Arnold,” said host Jane Lynch (40 Year Old Virgin, Glee). “Now, Roseanne, it’s not your fault you were attracted to Tom. You thought with all that white powder on his upper lip, there must be a doughnut somewhere.”

Whenever a performer can hit the hilarious (and brutal) Anthony Jeselnik where it hurts, I have to give my respect. Last night’s honor went to the star of the show, Roseanne, who said to Jeselnik, “You know the difference between Anthony and a gay porn actor? Well, judging by your looks and how much you sucked tonight, none.”

Jeff Ross, who’s so good at these events he’s now got his own “roast” spinoff on Comedy Central, joked, “I’ve got to hand it to you: You’ve been tortured and abused all night and you’re still hanging in there. Roseanne, I’m not talking to you; I’m talking to the chair that you’re sitting on.” (As a few bloggers have noted, the fat jokes came fast and furious last night)
