Wayne Brady: ‘I’ll Gladly Slap the Shit out of Bill Maher’ Over Obama Comment

He takes shots at both sides of the aisle and has recently been in hot water for jokes about Sarah Palin and Tim Tebow. Now a comment he made about President Barack Obama has fellow comedian Wayne Brady so pissed, Brady said he would, “Gladly slap the shit out of Bill Maher.”

During an appearance on Aisha Tyler’s podcast Girl on Guy, Brady reacted to Maher’s assertion that Obama isn’t really “black,” calling Obama America’s “Wayne Brady.” The reference is to Brady’s popularity among white demographics. Paul Mooney famously joked that Wayne Brady “makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcom X.”

Brady explained, “That means it’s a diss to Obama to be called me because he wants a brother brother. Just because you f*ck black hookers, just because you had that particular black experience… I have to stop myself to getting into it because I realize the thing is if I had gone on his show, or even doing it online, I’m not going to win. Because as soon as you back off, he still has his platform to say whatever he wants to.”

Brady, however, couldn’t contain himself. He then said that if Maher wants to see how black he is, he will “gladly slap the shit out of Bill Maher in front of Coco and Ebony and Fox, the three ladies of the night that he has hired.”

Listen to clip below and tell us what you think. Is Brady overreacting or does he make a point?

Wasn’t it Paul Mooney, not Chapelle, who said Wayne Brady makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcom X?

  2. Comedy says:

You’re totally right. It was on the Dave Chappelle show, which is the reason for the confusion. thanks!
